The Proteus Gowanus benefit party was a great success with a mind-expanding performance by Paul Benney and company, lively bluegrass by the Union Street Preservation Society and delicious food compliments of Joya Restaurant on Court Street. You can see pictures of the event on our facebook page.

Our Gowanus Parade is postponed til next season. But we hope you'll stop by for the big Book Sale on Sunday, July 18. Along with the books out on the street, we'll be offering wine and cheese in the cooler realms inside the gallery. So do come by and say goodbye for the summer. We will re-open after Labor Day with our new theme, Paradise.

Writers, readers and others are invited to join Study Hall and work in our gallery and library spaces from Mondays-Fridays, 10 am - 5 pm.

Every Thursday from 5-8 pm, the Fixers Collective meets at Proteus Gowanus. See Fixers Collective page for details and be sure to fill out the Fix Sheet. $5 donation.

Every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 pm, the Writhing Society meets at Proteus to practice and discuss writing with constraints. $5 fee.
